The Vigeland Sculpture Park in Norway

The Vigeland Sculpture Park or the Frogner Park is one of the most popular public gardens in Oslo, the Norwegian capital. This large garden was formerly a part of the Frogner farm. Today it welcomes hundreds of tourists on daily basis who spend their vacations in Norway.

Among the most marvelous features of the Vigeland Park that it is the biggest sculpture park in the whole globe which was all created by one single artists; Gustav Vigeland. A large number of travelers who tour Norway are keen to visit the Vigeland Park to view and admire his creations.

With more than 200 various sculptures, Vigeland excelled in using different materials in his art including granite, bronze, and certain types of iron. The park was in fact established and finished between 1939 and 1949.

With the length of around 850 meters, most of the sculptures are positioned in five groups. The most remarkable sections of Vigeland Park include the fountain, the children playground, and the bridge. A visit to the park is included in many travel packages to Norway.
