The Norman Cathedral in Italy

Almost all tours to Italy that include a visit to Sicily would compromise exploring the Norman Cathedral in Monreale. An important aspect of the Norman Cathedral is that it served as a great representation of the power of the Norman kingdom.

Constructed around the end of the 12th century, the monastery was established by Pope Lucius III. For its historical significance and unmatched features, the monastery was included in the UNESCO World Heritage sites in 2015.

Famous for its unique and finely preserved mosaics, the monastery was built following a blend of the Eastern rites and the Roman influence. When guests, coming from all over the world to enjoy a vacation in Italy, enter the monument, they are welcomed by one of the largest and most impressive glass mosaics in the whole world. It was established around the 12th to 13th centuries.
