The Buzludzha Monument in Bulgaria

Located at one of the most famous mountains of Bulgaria, which witnessed a few battles between the Bulgarian army and Turkish troops, the Buzludzha Monument, this distinctive monument was built to celebrate the socialist movement in the country.

Construction works of the Buzludzha Monument started back in 1974. These operations witnessed the participation of the Bulgarian army and various artisans. The result was a huge impressive structure that is more than 1400 meters in height.

Afterwards, however, when the government of Bulgaria stepped down in 1989, the whole site was deserted. However, today, it grabs the attention of several tourists who travel to Bulgaria.
