Sydney Opera House

Sydney Opera House is one of the major landmarks of the city. Constructed out of concrete and steel cables, the building process began in 1958 and it was completed in 1973. Today many tourists who travel to Australia explore the famous opera house.

The idea behind establishing an opera house in Sydney goes back to the 1940s when Eugene Gossens and several other British musicians and artists wanted to found a place to host various performances.

Popular for its ceiling that is constructed in the shape of 2 blending sails, the Sydney Opera House is one of the most wonderful highlights included in almost all tours to Australia.

The Sydney Opera House can accommodate more than 6500 people. Most of the shows consist of musical performances, dances, operas, plays, and art exhibitions. The Sydney Opera House welcomes hundreds of tourists who spend their vacations in Australia every day.
