Kazimierz District in Poland

Kazimierz is an old district located in the city of Krakow in Poland. Popular among tourists who travel to Poland for its rich Jewish history and heritage. During the beginning of the 19th century, Kazimierz  was a state of its own until it became an integral part of Poland.

The district of Kazimierz was a famous center for ethnic and Jewish practices in Poland. The northern section of the district in particular was where the Jews of Poland lived for years until the German forces relocated them.
