George Town in Malaysia

Among the most distinctive places to explore while in a vacation to Malaysia, the George Town simply offers diversified experiences. This unique island was found around the end of the 18th century. It was called the island of the Price of Wales then.

During the period of the British occupation of the region, they turned the island into an important transit point for ships travel, George Town has been included as a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO.

Despite being bombed during World War II, the town and the island preserved their elegance as one of the colonial centers of South Eastern Asia. Today many tourists who travel to Malaysia are keen to explore the Island of Penang where George Town is located.
