DAY 1, Monday - Depart for Jordan

DAY 2, Tuesday - Arrive in Amman
Arrive in Amman, the capital of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and transfer to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. This evening, attend an orientation meeting with your Tour Manager at approximately 6 PM, followed by a light dinner. We recommend that you select flights which arrive no later than 4 PM

DAY 3, Wednesday - Travel to Feynan, Wadi Dana Hike
Depart Amman this morning and tavel south to Feynan. Upon arrival at your lodge, begin your hike in the desert-like zone of Dana Biosphere Reserve, home to Jordan's most diverse wildlife. The trail gradually becomes greener as you head further into the valley of Wadi Dana with tall sandstone cliffs on either side of the valley. View natural springs, and a variety of animals that call Dana Biosphere Reserve home. During the hike, you will encounter groups of Bedouin families living in traditional tents made out of goat hair. Following a picnic lunch, walk back to the lodge. Spend the afternoon at leisure, before dinner tonight

DAY 4, Thursday - Copper Mines Trail, Visit Little Petra, Travel to Petra
During your hike today, explore the long-forgotten copper mine shafts. Learn how copper was discovered and used at Feynan, by ancient civilizations thousands of years ago. Visit nearby sites to see how copper was transported and refined. Afterwad, return to the lodge. In the afternoon, travel to Little Petra, also known as Siq al-Barid, locaterd in a narrow canyon north of Petra. Tour the ancient site, with its tombs, temples, and water cisterns carved out of rock. Visit the Painted House, which features one of the only surviving Nabatean painted interiors. Afterward, head to your hotel in Petra for dinner and overnight

DAY 5, Friday - Visit Petra, Al Madras Trail, Travel to Wadi Rum
This morning, explore Petra, the "rose red" city hand-sculpted by the Nabateans in the 3rd century BC. Begin your hike at the main entrance and before reaching the "Siq", make a turn at the Obelisk Tomb to take the Madras trail. Passing an ancient staircase, the trail then leads you to the top for great views of Petra's most extraordinary monument, the towering Treasury building rising over 140 feet. Continue on the mountain side and descend to the valley below to the amphitheater and Royal Tombs. Follow the main trail to Qasr Al Bint where you will have lunch. In the afternoon, travel to Wadi Rum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its rolling sand dunes, and striking rock formations. Arrive at the camp for dinner and overnight

DAY 6, Saturday - Hike Umm Al Dami
Embark on a hike to Umm Al Dami, the highest peak in Jordan, located at the edge of Wadi Rum desert, near the Saudi Arabian border. Begin your ascent and upon reaching the top you will be rewarded (on a clear day) by striking views of Wadi Rum's mountains and rugged lanscape as well as the Red Sea. After your descent and a Bedouin picnic lunch, head back to camp. Tonight, dinner is at the camp. Afterward, perhaps join the optional Wadi Rum Stargazing Experience

DAY 7, Sunday - Wadi Al-Hasa Trail, Dead Sea
Rise before dawn for the optional Wadi Rum Sunrise Balloon Ride. After checking out from the camp, travel to Ghor Al Safi. Discover the stunning Wadi Al-Hasa river canyon during this morning's hike. The trail takes you down a canyon, where you will walk through water, between towering sandstone cliffs and dramatic scenery. Afterward, travel to your hotel on the shores of the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth. Pamper yourself with fabulous treatments, or just savor the beautiful surroundings and natural beauty of this area. Tonight at dinner, bid farewell to your Tour Manager
