DAY 1, Saturday - Depart for Ireland

DAY 2, Sunday - Arrive in Dublin
Arrive in Dublin and transfer to your hotel. Most flights arrive in the early morning and your room may not be ready for you. In this case, leave your luggage with the concierge and your Tour Manager will provide suggestions for you to begin to explore the city on your own. Your tour will begin with an orientation meeting with your Tour Manager at approximately 5 PM, followed by a light dinner

DAY 3, Monday - Dublin City Tour
The exploration of Dublin, immortalized by James Joyce, begins with a panoramic drive through statue-lined O'Connell Street and past Phoenix Park, home to the official residence of the President. Continue to view St. Patrick's Cathedral, dedicated to Ireland's patron saint. Next, on to Oscar Wilde's Trinity College where you see the magnificent 8th century Book of Kells, a superb example of early Irish manuscript illumination on display in the Old Library. This afternoon there are so many places to explore on your own - from EPIC Ireland Emigration Museum to the Guinness Storehouse, one of Ireland's leading attractions

DAY 4, Tuesday - Glendalough, Travel to Waterford
Departing Dublin, travel through scenic County Wicklow to Glendalough, a 6th century monastic settlement. Visit the site which was founded by St. Kevin. Afterward, make your way to Kilkenny, situated on the banks of the River Nore. Enjoy the sights of this historic town, and view the 12th-century Kilkenny Castle. Continue on to Waterford, a place that can trace its beginnings back to the arrival of the Vikings. Take a walking tour of the city followed by a visit to the world-famous House of Waterford Crystal showroom, before returning to Kilkenny. Dinner will be held in your hotel

DAY 5, Wednesday - Blarney Castle en Route to Killarney
Today, drive through the scenic south of Ireland into County Cork for a visit to storied 15th century Blarney Castle, where you'll have an opportunity to kiss the legendary Blarney Stone, promising you the "gift of gab". Free time for shopping for traditional Irish crafts at the Blarney Woollen Mills before driving to Killarney, in County Kerry, with its soaring mountain ranges, beautiful valleys, crystal lakes and spectacular rugged coastline on the Atlantic Ocean. Later, perhaps opt to join the optional ride in a Jaunting Car (pony & open carriage) in the peaceful green countryside. Return to Killarney in the late afternoon

DAY 6, Thursday - Killarney National Park, Ring of Kerry
Drive through Killarney National Park and the world-famous "Ring of Kerry" around the island's southwestern tip. Keep your cameras ready for the sparkling seascapes, mountains dotted with brightly colored farmhouses, the remote villages of Cahirciveen and Sneem, winding lanes bordered with subtropical vegetation, and the breathtaking panorama of the Lakes of Killarney

DAY 7, Friday - Bunratty Castle and Folk Park
Travel north through the village of Adare, with its pastel-hued storefronts and thatched-roof houses. Visit Bunratty Castle, the most complete and authentic medieval fortress in Ireland restored to its former splendor with original furnishings, tapestries and works of art. On to Folk Park, dedicated to life in Ireland during the 19th century. Stroll around the charming village complete with school, post office, doctor's house, hardware shop, and of course, McNamara's pub! Tonight, perhaps participate in the optional Knappogue Medieval Banquet* for a lively evening of music, singing, and storytelling

DAY 8, Saturday - Cliffs of Moher, Galway
Begin the day with excursion north to view some of Ireland's most spectacular scenery as you drive to the mighty Cliffs of Moher, a wall of rock that rises some 700 feet above the ocean. Continue on to a local farmhouse for tea and fresh baked scones. Then, travel through the desolate limestone plateau known as The Burren to lively Galway, once a seafaring town steeped in tradition. Return to Ennis for dinner

DAY 9, Sunday - Travel to Dublin
This morning, travel through the scenic Irish countryside back to Dublin. Arrive and check into the hotel. Spend the balance of the day at leisure. Perhaps, purchase some souvenirs on Grafton Street, the city's stylish and popular shopping area, or visit some famous sites throughout the city, including Dublin Castle, National Gallery and St. Stephen's Green. Tonight at dinner, bid farewell to your Tour Manager
