DAY 1: Departure from USA

  • Board your international flight to start your journey to Ghana.
DAY 2: Arrival in Accra

  • Adanwomasie is a traditional Asante town renowned for its Kente cloth weaving, a vibrant and symbolic fabric deeply rooted in Ashanti culture. You will also have the opportunity to explore a local cocoa farm and learn about cocoa cultivation.
  • 11:00 AM Depart for Ntonso, located about 15 km north of Kumasi in the Kwabre East District. Ntonso is famous for its Adinkra cloth printing, a traditional craft featuring symbolic motifs that convey rich cultural meanings.01:30 PM Lunch at the hotel.
  • 02:00 PM Visit Sokoban Krofrom.
  • Explore the village of Sokoban Krofrom, renowned for its traditional brass casting craft. This community has preserved the lost-wax brass casting technique for generations, creating beads, jewelry, and statues that hold deep cultural significance. You will have the opportunity to observe skilled artisans at work and learn about the importance of brass casting in their heritage. In addition, Sokoban Krofrom is also known for its exquisite woodcraft. Local artisans skillfully carve intricate designs into wood, producing masks, stools, and decorative items that reflect the rich cultural and spiritual traditions of the community.

Inoculations:

  • Ghana is one of the countries at the risk of Yellow Fever transmission, hence the need for all travelers (including those coming from countries with no risk to yellow fever) to Ghana to have a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate or records indicating their protection from yellow fever.
  • The certificate may be required during the processing of the visa application. An applicant who for medical reasons cannot obtain the vaccination certificate must submit a medical certificate from a doctor.

Note: Health officials at all ports of entry carry out vigorous checks on travel documents with respect to yellow fever vaccination certificate.

  • All visitors to Ghana must be in possession of a valid passport or legal travel documents.
  • All visitors entering Ghana must have valid entry visas issued by a Ghana diplomatic mission or consulate abroad or any other visa issuing authority mandated by the Ghana Government to act on its behalf. (ECOWAS nationals and those of other countries with which the Government of Ghana has specific bilateral agreements, are exempted).
