DAY 1, Tuesday - Depart for the United Arab Emirates

DAY 2, Wednesday - Arrive in Dubai
Arrive in Dubai, the quintessential land of opulence, wealth and astonishing skyscrapers that stand alongside ancient mosques. Balance of the day is at leisure to rest, relax and acclimate to the adrenaline-charged tempo of this city and your new time zone

DAY 3, Thursday - Dubai City
A fabulous day discovering Dubai, one of the world's most futuristic cities with its dramatic skyline, once a tranquil port of Bedouin traders and pearl divers. Begin with a photo stop at Dubai's signature landmark, Burj Al-Arab, the celebrated sail-shaped hotel facing the Persian Gulf. Continue to the Jumeirah Palm, a man-made island, which was built in the shape of a palm tree and houses, residential buildings, villas, and luxury resorts. Drive to the end of the island, to visit the iconic Atlantis, The Palm Hotel. At the hotel, you'll be surrounded by the astonishing aquarium inhabited by thousands of marine species from around the world. Continue on Sheikh Zayed road to visit the world’s tallest tower Burj Khalifa. While at the top, a guide will help answer all your questions from your vantage point on level 124 of the building. Free time for lunch in Dubai Mall. Afterwards, drive to the oldest part of the city. The Bastakiya area is where old wind-towered houses of wealthy merchants can still be seen. While in the area, visit the Dubai Museum in the Al Fahidi Fort, which has survived for two centuries. Continue the tour through the cloth markets and end up at the Abras, where local water taxis will take you across the Creek to the area of spice and gold souks. Walk through the bustling alleys of these souks and allow the mystical aromas of numerous spices tantalize your senses. The jewelry on sale, varies from the traditional to the latest designs at amazingly affordable prices. Return to the hotel for an orientation meeting with your Tour Manager and fellow travelers, followed by a Welcome Dinner

DAY 4, Friday - Full Day in Dubai
Morning and afternoon at leisure for further exploration of this vibrant city. Or, join the thrilling optional Desert Safari this afternoon. Board a 4X4 vehicle in Dubai and head out towards the highest sand dunes of the surreal surrounding desert. Feel the thrill of "dune bashing" as you spiral up and down the enormous golden dunes. Stop to watch the beautiful sunset before reaching the Bedouin campsite. You'll be welcomed with traditional Arabic coffee and might have the opportunity to ride a camel. Then, enjoy a specially arranged barbecue dinner, prepared on an open fire. Later, a captivating belly dancer enchants you with her swirling dances under the starlit sky before returning to Dubai

DAY 5, Saturday - Full Day in Dubai

Perhaps, join the thrilling optional Desert Safari this afternoon. Board a 4X4 vehicle in Dubai and head out towards the highest sand dunes of the surreal surrounding desert. DAY 6, Sunday - Abu Dhabi City Tour
Today, an excursion to Abu Dhabi, ultra-sophisticated capital of the United Arab Emirates, often called the "Arabian Jewel". Drive past Jebel Ali, the largest man-made port in the world before arriving at the magnificent Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, iconic symbol of Abu Dhabi. Continue along the city's glamorous Corniche, with blue waters glittering on one side and shimmering skyscrapers lining the other. At the Breakwater, pause to take photos of the city's fabulous skyline. Then, on to Heritage Village, a reconstructed traditional desert village. Here, journey to the past and experience life in Abu Dhabi before oil revenues altered the landscape. Many different aspects of desert life are attractively displayed in the open-air museum along with workshops where craftsmen demonstrate traditional skills while women sit weaving and spinning. After lunch on your own, visit Zayed House for a fascinating peek into the life of the late Sheikh Zayed, "Father of the Nation". Return to Dubai via Yas Island, where the Ferrari World theme park and brand-new Formula I race track is located

DAY 7, Monday - Dubai Souks and Marina Tour
Enjoy a morning at leisure on your last day in Dubai. Visit a desert center to see the art of "falconry", spend more time shopping in the spice and gold bazaar, or just gaze at the astonishing panoramic views from a rooftop restaurant. This afternoon take a tour of Dubai’s Souks and famous Marina. Test your bargaining skills while walking around one of the oldest and most populated areas in Dubai, the Souk al Kabeer. Afterwards, you will tour the historic Sheikh Al Maktoum House. Then, enjoy a walking tour of one of the trendiest places in Dubai, the Dubai Marina and Jumeirah Beach Residence. The tour concludes at the Madinat souk, with time at leisure to explore the treasures among these lantern lit corridors

DAY 8, Tuesday - Depart Dubai, Flight to Amman
Bid farewell to the Tour Manager and depart Dubai on a flight to Amman, capital of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan; transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to adjust to the exotic surroundings

DAY 9, Wednesday - Amman City Tour
Today, embark on a city tour of Amman, the capital of the Kingdom of Jordan. Often referred to as the "White City" because of the white stone used to build the houses, Amman is considered to be among the oldest continually inhabited cities on Earth. The tour will take you to the museums, the Citadel, the Roman Amphitheater, the souks, and the city's modern district. The balance of the day is at leisure. This evening, enjoy a welcome orientation with your new Tour Manager and fellow travelers

DAY 10, Thursday - Jerash, Ajloun
After breakfast, travel north of Amman to the best preserved example of Roman civilization in Jordan, the city of Jerash, part of the Decapolis (the ten large Roman cities of the East). Jerash, has been called the Pompeii of the East for its unique state of preservation. The city features theaters, churches, temples of Zeus and Artemis, a Nymphaeum and colonnaded street. Later, visit Ajloun to tour the 12th century Saracen Castle. This castle was built by one of Saladin's lieutenants in the campaign against the Crusaders. Later, return to Amman

DAY 11, Friday - Mount Nebo, Madaba, Kerak
Today, drive south along the Kings' Way towards Petra. En route, visit Mount Nebo, the reputed burial site of Moses, overlooking the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. Afterwards, enjoy the mosaic workshop where you will have the opportunity to learn about these incredible crafts. Continue to visit the mosaic city of Madaba, where an ancient map of the Holy Land is set into the floor of Saint George's Church. After lunch, travel to Kerak Castle. The striking silhouette of this fortified Crusader town and castle will instantly make you understand why kings and nations utlized the structure for centuries. Arrive in Petra for overnight

DAY 12, Saturday - Full Day in Petra
An astonishing day exploring Petra! Enter the "rose red" city hand-sculpted from a mountain range by the Nabateans in the 3rd century BC. Begin your walk (or ride) through the Siq, a winding canyon road. At the end, you’ll gaze in total amazement at Petra’s most extraordinary monument - the towering Treasury building rising over 140 feet. Beyond, discover soaring temples, elaborate royal tombs, a theatre, burial champers and water channels - all remnants of a once great Nabatean culture. Today, Petra is both a Jordanian national treasure and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience! There will be time on your own to further explore Petra before returning to the hotel with a stop at Moses Springs

DAY 13, Sunday - Wadi Rum Desert, Travel to Dead Sea
Morning departure to Wadi Rum, a surreal desert terrain of ancient river beds, wind sculpted mountains, vast desert vistas and pastel colored sands. This UNESCO World Heritage Site, often described as the "Valley of the Moon", served as inspiration (and site of the filming) for T.E. Lawrence’s novel, Lawrence of Arabia. Ride in a 4x4 vehicle to explore the valley, with its looming rock faces that seem to grow directly out of the sand and endless skies. Cross the huge red sand dunes, and the eroded pillars of sandstone rock known as "The Seven Pillars". Then, a fabulous lunch in an authentic Bedouin tent in the midst of the desert, where you’ll be introduced to "Zarb" -a selection of foods cooked in an oven with hot coals beneath the desert floor. Afterwards, travel to your hotel in the unique Dead Sea area. Here, you can float in the buoyant, salty waters at the lowest spot on earth. Take time to relax and enjoy the benefits of the mineral-rich therapeutic waters. Later this evening, a Farewell Dinner with your Tour Manager and fellow travelers

DAY 14, Monday - Full Day in Dead Sea
On your last day in Jordan, enjoy all of the delights of the Dead Sea. Pamper yourself with fabulous treatments, sample the Dead Sea’s renowned restorative powers, or just savor the beautiful surroundings and natural beauty of this area. Or, join the optional tour to the village of Bethany, the site of Jesus' baptism by John the Baptist and also where the prophet Elijah ascended to heaven via a chariot of fire. The sites that make up Bethany were part of early Christian pilgrimages between Mt. Nebo and Jerusalem
