Day By Day Itinerary
DAY 1: Monday - Depart the USA
Depart the USA for Australia. Your flight includes meals, drinks, and in-flight entertainment for your journey.
DAY 2: Tuesday - En Route
En route to Australia. Cross over the international dateline and lose one day
DAY 3: Wednesday - Arrival to Cairns
Arrival to Cairns airport, transfer on your own to your hotel to check inn. Optional arrival transfer is available upon request.
DAY 4: Thursday - Cairns, Optional Tour
After breakfast, free day at leisure to enjoy the city on your own, or choose our optional tour (Cairns Highlights). The Cairns tour begins with highlights of the city including the Esplanade that parallels the harbor, Historic Courthouse Hotel, Reef Casino Hotel, and Grand verandah pubs and heritage buildings. Enjoy afternoon tea and scones in trendy Edge Hill, continuing on the tour to St. Monicas Cathedral where you can admire the incredible Creation Windows, Surprise Creek Waterfall in Barron Gorge which was an inspiration to set designers on the movie Avatar, and Copperlode Lookout with its panoramic views over Cairns. Next, take a guided walk through the Flecker Botanic Gardens with its breathtaking collection of lush native and exotic tropical plants including orchids, palms, heliconia, bamboo and tropical fruits and vines. Lastly, visit the resort town of Palm Cove and stroll along the Williams Esplanade beach front. Tour departs at 12:45 p.m. and returns at 6:15 p.m ( B )
DAY 5: Friday - Cairns
After breakfast, free day at liesure to enjoy the city on your own, or choose our optional tour (Outer Barrier Reef with Sunlover Cruise). Take a Sunlover Cruise aboard a 330 passenger catamaran to Moore Reef and the Sunlover pontoon. Explore the wonders of the reefs spectacular coral formations and prolific colorful tropical fish at your leisure by swimming, snorkeling, viewing the coral reef and fish life from a semi-submersible or glass bottom boat, or experience a tropical fish feeding presentation. Enjoy morning and afternoon teas and a sumptuous tropical hot and cold tropical buffet lunch with seafood on board. Tour departs at 10:00 a.m. from Reef Fleet Terminal (courtesy hotel transfer from Cairns and beaches to terminal) and returns at 5:30 p.m. Please bring a hat and sunscreen. ( B )
DAY 6: Saturday - Cairns to Sydney
Check out from your hotel in Cairns, transfer to the airport on your own, for your flight to Sydney, arrival and transfer on your own to your hotel

You can choose our optional tour (Daintree Wilderness (488)) Experience a gem of Australias crown of natural icons in the remote natural magnificence of the Daintree. Start the day heading north along the Coral Coast following the Captain Cook Highway to Port Douglas. Take a tour of this resort playground and visit the Rainforest Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary, where you will have a guided tour through the three wildlife environments - rainforest, wetlands and grasslands. Next, head inland passing sugar cane fields towards Daintree National Park. Take a guided rainforest walk to Mossman Gorge where you will see fan palms, flying Paradise Kingfishers and Rainbow Lorikeets, tree frogs and butterflies of every color. Cross the Daintree River on board a cable driven vehicular ferry into Cape Tribulation National Park. After a delicious tropical lunch, arrive at Cape Tribulation where white sand beaches meet an azure tropical sea and the dense green of the jungle. You can choose to take a walk along the beach or view the headland from the boardwalk. Enjoy spectacular views of the Daintree River and Coral Sea from Alexandra Lookout, which will be followed by a cruise on the Daintree River. Look for birds and wildlife along the rivers mangroves including large spiders, pythons and crocodiles. Lastly, enjoy complimentary afternoon tea before returning to Cairns. ( B )

DAY 8: Monday - Sydney Optional Tour
Free day at leisure, or your choose our optional tour (Half Day Sydney City Tour with Opera House (281OT)) This morning, enjoy a comprehensive tour of Sydney providing you with a quintessential introduction to the various city highlights. See Darling Harbour, Chinatown, Parliament House, Hyde Park, historic and trendy Paddington, and more Make a stop at Mrs. Macquaries Chair to admire the iconic view of the bridge behind the Opera House and visit Bondi Beach, Australia’s most famous surf beach. To conclude the sightseeing, experience an inside tour of the Sydney Opera House introducing you to the innovation, creativity and controversy that went into the forging of this remarkable structure. DAY 9: Tuesday - Sydney, Optional Tour
Free day at leisure, or your choose our optional tour (Full Day Hunter Valley Wineries Tour (299)) Today, depart on a full day tour of the Hunter Valley Wineries. The Hunter Valley is Australias oldest commercial wine producing district with over 7,000 acres under vine. You will tour Cessnock and the lower Hunter Valley noted for its early Australian townships. Visit the world renowned Lindemans for a private wine tasting and cheese platter. Enjoy a two course lunch accompanied by a wine taster at Hunter Resort. Afterward, view a presentation in the Hunter Wine Theatre on how the winery operates. After time to enjoy the Gardens village for wine tasting or boutique shops, continue to Oakvale Wines for more wine tasting. DAY 10: Wednesday - Sydney, Optional Tour
Free day at leisure, or you may choose our optional tour (Full Day Blue Mountains (234). Enjoy a full day tour of Australia Blue Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Travel over Sydney Harbour Bridge to Featherdale Wildlife Park where you will have the chance to meet unique Australian animals, feed a kangaroo, and have your picture taken with a koala. Then continue to the Blue Mountains. Marvel at the sheer escarpments, rugged bush land, and awe-inspiring mountain lookouts. Enjoy a two course lunch before having the opportunity to ride the worlds steepest Scenic Railway, Scenic Cableway, or the Skyway Cable Car (own expense).
